The renowned maestro Zakir Hussain curated a jazz ensemble with Avishai Cohen on the trumpet, pianist Osam Ezzeldin, Sanjay Divecha (guitar) and Abhinav Khokhar (acoustic bass).

It was a treat to hear the magic created by a fusion of melody, improvisation and rhythm.

The auditorium was packed to the very brim; people listened in pin-drop silence, soaking in every nuance of the music and roaring their appreciation at the end of every solo improvisation.

A scintillating solo by Zakir Hussain brought the audience to its feet with a standing ovation; the applause did not stop until the musicians played an encore piece.

Before the concert began, Sahachari Foundation’s donation cheques were presented on stage to 9 NGOs.
