The evening was the fourth edition in homage to the glorious textile traditions of India.

The ramp donned a vintage look with shimmering threads and mogra flowers as celebrated couturier Manish Malhotra launched his exclusive collection ‘The Regal Threads’ at the Sahachari Foundation gala. The occasion marked the completion of 25 years in the fashion industry for the designer, and the start of a journey that amalgamates his soulful heritage with modern aesthetics. It placed prominence on rich textures and traditional weaves of Benaras and Gujarat. Models walked the ramp in exquisitely – styled creations in bandhani, brocade and silk fabrics, to the rhythms of folk music.

The clothes were accessorised with select handcrafted Jadau jewellery from Satyani Fine Jewels.

Actors Katrina Kaif, dressed in a silver sequinned lehenga and choli, and Aditya Roy Kapoor were the show stoppers, accompanied by loud cheers from the audience. Several city celebrities were in attendance.
