Film star Rekha unveiled the third edition of Amazing Yards on 28th September at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. Chanda Kochhar of ICICI Bank and Rashmi Thackeray were also present in support of the exhibition which is curated to rejuvenate textile traditions and create modern-day relevance for them. 21 textile revivalists who participated in Amazing Yards received a good response.

Later the same evening, master draper and ace designer Tarun Tahiliani exulted workmanship and heritage through ‘Modern Mughals’, a power-packed ramp show in support of Sahachari Foundation. It was a mélange of Indian craftsmanship perfected with fit, finish and functionality of Western techniques.

Fine jewellery from Cisne Bridal Treasures was used on the ramp to accessorise with the creations.

As showstopper, actress Sonakshi Sinha enthralled the audience with her lively appearance on the ramp.

The twin events raised funds for the Jaipur Foot project of BMVSS, an NGO that provides artificial limbs for the disabled.
