On the morning of 16th September, the fifth edition of Design One opened its doors to early shoppers, and took the retail experience to another level. On offer was a combination of retro with modern collections. The exhibition introduced new names and styles to ensure that buyers find something special each time. Several out-of towners showcased fresh and exciting gift options.
Design One succeeded in raising the bar yet again with larger numbers of buyer footfalls, spacious stall layout and irresistible merchandise.
The Design One initiative has an altruistic arm which enables social change through the shopping experience, differentiating it from other exhibitions. This year’s proceeds will fund a pre-school project run by Muktangan for under-privileged children. In support of the cause, actress Soha Ali Khan visited the institution and was impressed with the innovative models used by the NGO to improve the quality of education.
She also applauded Sahachari Foundation’s mission of funding NGO projects through initiatives such as Design One.
